Ingredients cinnamon bread from scratch


Dough
1 1/4 cup milk
3 tbsp honey
1 1/2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp quick rise yeast
3 cup flour
filling
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
4 tbsp butter

how to make cinnamon bread from scratch


In large bowl combine first 5 dough ingredients (all but yeast and flour). Heat in microwave or otherwise until just warm (110°)


Add yeast to milk mixture. Let stand in warm place 10-15 minutes to activate yeast


Add in flour 1 cup at a time. Mix to form dough


Knead dough 5 minutes on floured surface.


Butter or grease large bowl and turn dough over to grease dough. Cover with bread cloth, place in warm area and let rise 1 hour


While dough is rising, in med bowl, combine all ingredients to make filling.


Grease loaf pan


Once dough has risen, place on floured surface and press or roll into a rectangle roughly the same width as your loaf pan.


Spread filling mix over dough (you'll probably have some extra mix, don't feel obligated to use it all or it'll bubble over while baking)


Roll dough tightly into log and put into loaf pan


Cover dough and let rise again for 30 minutes


Preheat oven to 350°


Bake @ 350° for 40 minutes


Loosen from sides of pan and let cool where air can circulate around pan for 15 minutes. Turn out of pan and finish cooling as long as you can stand to wait ;-P
