Ingredients egg in toast aka toad in a hole
2 eggs per person per serving
2 slices of bread per person per serving
1 salted butter for frying
1 salt and pepper to taste
1 biscuit/cookie cutter or something to cut a hole in your slices of bread
1 large skillet
1 large spatula
how to make egg in toast aka toad in a hole
Cut holes in your bread.
Heat butter in pan
Add bread to pan and toast on one side
Remove bread from pan and add more butter. Put bread back in toasted side up and put one egg into each bread hole and season egg.
At this point you can cover the pan while the bread toasts to help the egg cook. I prefer to flip it over to finish cooking the egg.
Grab a plate and enjoy!
